The Ride of Respect is a annual mass ride by motorcyclists to pay tribute both to our tri-service personnel and to the fallen and their families

Mission.  Helping to raise funds for Military Charities.

Description

The Ride of Respect is a mass ride by motorcyclists to pay tribute both to our tri-service personnel and to the fallen and their families The ride is organised by two biking Grandmother's, Julia Stevenson from Dartford in Kent and Anne Cole from Gloucester.  Julia organised the first Ride through taking with her over 15,000 motorcycles and over 22,000 riders and pillions. In 2011 we organised a second ride to show our support to our tri service troops, the townsfolk of Royal Wootton Bassett and also to say Goodbye and Thank you to RAF Lyneham.

In 2012 the ride changed due to the service personnel now being repatriated via Brize Norton and since then has ridden through both Royal Wootton Bassett and Abingdon to Carterton.   The ride will now alternate each year and the 2015 ride will again take place at Royal Wootton Bassett.

Over the past 4 years' rides we have raised around a half million pounds for military charities.     This event has become an annual event raising funds for Military personnel and Causes.

Respecting the people of Wootton Bassett who showed respect to our fallen soldiers, repatriated and driven through the town of wootton Bassett
